The Dimlux vertiLED Series is a modular LED lighting system developed specifically for vertical farming and multi-layer cultivation, where fixtures need to operate close to the crop while maintaining uniform light distribution across the full width of the growing bed.

Its angled fixture design and asymmetric high-precision optics direct more light towards the cultivation area and reduce unnecessary spill beyond the edges of the grow bed. Customisable fixture lengths, spectrum options and mounting configurations allow vertiLED systems to be tailored to different crops, rack layouts and lighting requirements.

Designed for Vertical Farming

The vertiLED is designed for installations with limited space between the crop and lighting fixture. Dimlux's tailored lens optics provide broad, uniform distribution even at close mounting distances, making the system suitable for multi-layer farms, grow racks and other high-density cultivation environments.

Independent 4-Channel Spectrum Control

Up to four separate LED colour channels can be controlled independently, allowing the spectrum to be adjusted for different crops and stages of development. Available LED options include UV-A, white, blue, lime, red, deep red and far-red, with different white colour temperatures also available.

Passive Air or Active Water Cooling

The vertiLED can operate using passive air cooling or active water cooling. Passive cooling eliminates the need for fixture fans, while the water-cooled configuration transfers heat from both the LEDs and integrated drivers directly into the cooling circuit.

Removing fixture heat through the water system can reduce the amount of heat released directly into the growing area, supporting more stable environmental conditions in high-density vertical farms.

High-Transmission Optical System

The vertiLED uses a high-transmission PMMA lens system designed to minimise optical losses and allow UV-A light to pass through. The patented lens geometry helps direct light towards the cultivation area while limiting light that would otherwise fall outside the grow bed.

Robust Modular Construction

The fixture housing uses aluminium die-cast components, thick-wall anodised extrusions and powder-coated corrosion protection for durability in horticultural environments. Its modular construction also allows fixture length and configuration to be adapted to the dimensions of the growing system.

Linked Fixture Control

Up to 10 vertiLED fixtures can be connected in series using combined power and communication cables, reducing the amount of separate cabling required. Each fixture can be individually addressed, controlled and monitored for system status and temperature information.

Long-Term Performance

For the standard specification, Dimlux rates the vertiLED at L90 B05 after 50,000 hours, meaning at least 95% of fixtures are specified to retain 90% of their initial light output at that point. The Xtreme specification extends the stated performance period to 54,000 hours.
