The Dimlux Xtreme UV-B 33W Add-On HE T5 is a high-performance supplemental UV-B fixture designed for use with Dimlux Xtreme Series LED MKII systems and other compatible professional LED installations. It uses a 103 cm / 40 inch T5 High Efficiency UV-B fluorescent tube with a broad 275–375 nm output spectrum.

The fixture is intended to supplement the main grow light rather than replace it, adding controlled UV-B exposure to help stimulate plant stress responses associated with secondary metabolite production. It is particularly suited to growers looking to add UV-B to an existing professional lighting system in a controlled and integrated way.

Broadband UV-B Supplementation

The UV-B tube produces a broadband spectrum from 275–375 nm. Controlled UV-B exposure can influence secondary metabolite production and plant defence responses, including processes associated with resin, terpene and flavonoid development.

UV-B can also contribute to suppression of certain fungi, pathogens and mites when applied appropriately, although dosage and exposure time should be carefully managed.

Designed to Complement NIR + UV-A

The UV-B Add-On can be paired with the Dimlux NIR+UV-A Add-On to create a broader supplemental spectrum. Dimlux recommends combining these spectral regions where growers want to use UV-B alongside UV-A and near-infrared light within the same lighting strategy.

Wide-Beam UV Reflector

A patented wide-beam compact reflector is designed to spread UV-B output across a broad area while reducing concentrated hotspots. This helps provide more even supplemental coverage across the canopy.

Integrated Safety Features

When integrated with the compatible Dimlux Xtreme fixture, a radar safety sensor can automatically shut down UV-B output when required, helping reduce the risk of accidental user exposure.

UV-B radiation can damage eyes and skin, so appropriate protective measures and operating procedures should always be followed.

Smart Control & System Integration

An integrated control module with light sensing enables the UV-B fixture to work alongside compatible Dimlux control systems. It can be used with the Dimlux Maxi Controller and supported third-party control systems for coordinated lighting operation.

Daisy-chain power and Interlink connectivity allow multiple compatible units to be connected together, simplifying larger installations.
