Designed to provide benefit to most trees (pines, firs, oaks etc.,) which make up about 5% of the plants on the planet, Myco-Edge Ectomycorrhizal Blend delivers specific impact where it is needed most.

This is a dry granular product that is applied directly to the root zone of the plant. Packed with over 2.4 million propagules of mycorrhizal fungi in each gram, Myco-Edge Ecto also has a host of other beneficial organisms too. From the time the product is correctly applied, it begins to provide benefit to the plant. Aiding in transplant success is a key attribute of Myco-Edge Ecto.

Examples of plants that benefit are:

Alder, Arborvitae, Aspen, Beech, Birch, Chesnut, Douglas-fir, Eucalyptus, Fir, Hazelnut, Hickory, Hemlock, Madrone, Oak, Pine, and Spruce.

Auxiliary Biotic Soil and Plant Substance Contains Non-Plant Food Ingredients

Active Ingredients:

Pisolithus tinctorius…………………………………………..2,371,332 spores/gm
Scleroderma sp……………………………………………………… 35,108 spores/gm
Rhizopogon occidentalis………………………………………. 42,984 spores/gm

Application Methods and Rates:

This product can be used to inoculate roots of trees, such as oak, birch, aspen, pine, fir, and eucalyptus, by mixing within the medium or sprinkling it over the potted plant and watering it in. Inoculation with ectomycorrhizal fungi has been shown to benefit these trees by enhancing nutrient uptake, resistance to disease, and tolerance to soil toxicities and drought. Ericaceous plants, such as rhododendron, azalea,
heath, kalmia, blueberries, and cranberries form ericoid mycorrhizae. Most other plants form arbuscular mycorrhizae. Some plant families do not form mycorrhizae, such as members of the Cruciferae.

For Transplants:

Apply product either directly in contact with plant roots or on top of pot and water in thoroughly. For larger pots, apply 2 tablespoons per plant. For smaller pots, apply 1 tablespoon per plant. For Planting Seeds: Apply product in the furrow beneath the seed at the rate of 1 teaspoon
per row foot, or broadcast at the rate of 2 teaspoons per square foot and rake into the upper soil layer before planting.

Cultural Conditions:

This product contains living micro-organisms that are sensitive to certain cultural practices. To avoid inhibiting or killing the organisms, do not use high rates of inorganic fertilizers or some pesticides, including soil fumigants. This product can be used in fumigated soil after the recommended ventilation period. For technical information about compatible chemicals, contact the manufacturer.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a cool dry place with prolonged temperatures not exceeding 90°F (32.2°C). Avoid direct sunlight. Product should be used in a well-ventilated place.
