Direct UV Surface & Plant Sterilization (UVC & UVB)

When microbes land on a surface or leaf, the fastest way to stop them is direct UV exposure.

How It Works

• UVC (≈275 nm) damages DNA and RNA, killing pathogens outright
• UVB (≈295 nm) suppresses biological pressure and can be used on plants when applied correctly

Why Facilities Need Direct UV

Air filtration alone does not eliminate:
