Atami B’ounce is a pressed substrate consisting of a mix of coco, made up of coco grit, coco fibres and bits of coco. All the ingredients are buffered and rinsed, so Atami B’ounce can be considered a pure substrate. Because the cocos B’ounce varies in structure, the ideal foundation is achieved. The coarser pieces of coco ensure that the coco mixture remains sufficiently airy, leaving more than enough oxygen to reach the roots.

The oxygen has a beneficial effect on the (rapid) development of a healthy and strong root system. In addition, the speed with which the root system can develop is increased considerably by the favourable (light) conditions, so the plants will grow even faster.

The somewhat coarser pieces of coco also provide good drainage. The fine particles of coco (including the fibres and the grit) on the other hand function as a sponge and retain moisture longer, so sufficient (nutritious) water remains in the substrate for the plants. After soaking the Atami B’ounce will swell to a height of approximately 20 cm.
