Do you want to grow microgreens either as a hobby or to supply local restaurants, sandwich bars or anywhere that serves food? V-Farm's VF 5222 can allow you to do this on a regular basis with consistent quality and size across crops. The VF 5222 is a vertical farming flood and drain system designed to grow micro-greens and edible flowers in a space saving and ergonomic design. Thanks to its verticality, this system produces a much greater yield of micro-greens per m2 of footprint than traditional farming methods. Grow lighting is provided by 25x 1.2m full spectrum Spectron LED tubes (photon flux: 28 μmol s-1). These have been designed specifically with microgreens in mind. The system contains five layers for growing (1200mm x 800mm) that fit a wide variety of seed trays, alternatively, you could place your growing media directly on the trays. The system is on wheels for maneuverability and can be broken down for easy cleaning.

The VF 5222 utilizes a 100L covered nutrient tank with a variable speed pump to deliver your nutrients to each layer. The individual layers can be isolated and each can be flooded to different levels. The variable speed pump is controlled by a digital timer that has a 7-day memory feature as well as multiple programmable flood times per day meaning you can flood the system for as long as you like, as many times as you like. The flood and drain system is very easy to granularly control using taps and valves to moderate flooding and draining respectively.
